Productions) & Corey Ross (Starvox Entertainment), Lighthouse
Immersive is the first entertainment company developing multiplex
venues featuring large-scale events and exhibitions using
interactive digital media. The signature property of Lighthouse
Immersive, Immersive Van Gogh Exhibit, opened on July 1, 2020, in
Toronto with a Walk-Thru and Drive-In version to meet the ongoing
restrictions and guidelines associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.
Immersive Van Gogh was the first major art exhibit to open since
the onset of the pandemic and sold over 220,000 tickets in four
months with gross sales of over $9 million to a core audience of
24-44-year-olds in Toronto and quickly became the #1 selling show
worldwide on Ticketmaster's Universe platform. Since opening in
Toronto, Lighthouse Immersive has expanded to 20 markets in North
America, selling over 3.25 million tickets. POSITION SUMMARY The
Assistant Venue Manager will report directly to Venue Manager and
work closely with other leadership in the venue. Assistant Venue
Manager will be responsible for overseeing the operations staff,
interacting with guests and providing a safe and inclusive
environment. This position will also require cross training in the
retail and box office in order to effectively oversee those
departments. Other responsibilities include working with the Global
Event Sales Manager to execute in-house events. The ideal candidate
will have an outgoing and extroverted personality to deal with a
diverse group of guests and staff alike! Availability to work
nights, weekends and holidays. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ? Manage
inventory and supply chain for all operations supplies including
Cushions, posters, add ons, cleaning supplies, PPE, office
supplies, signage, stanchions, production supplies, employee break
room supplies, loading dock supplies, and many other elements ?
Place orders and manage accounting receipts for venue operations;
Analyze daily product and supply levels to anticipate inventory
problems and shortages ? Act as primary liaison for all venue
operational staff with all other departments and department
managers as it pertains to the operational efficiency of the venue
in relation to the box office, parking, security, custodial,
building management, production, and retail departments ? Manage
additional labor required for loading dock, inventory control and
organization as required with the assistance of departmental staff;
manage inventory system for all incoming and outgoing shipments ?
Review and approve staff timecards as required ? Interview and hire
staff as required ? Open/Close venue with assistant
management/supervisors, ensuring proper procedure and protocol has
been met to safely secure the building ? Track and manage petty
cash, submitting reports and receipts in an organized and efficient
manner to accounts payable departments ? Leads the Date Night
package, working with Special Projects Coordinator at Head Office
to ensure smooth and effective operations. ? Work with Publicists
on any special requests, as necessary. ? Lead the Gogh with the
Flow Yoga program on the scheduled dates. ? Troubleshoots
projectors / audio and technical equipment when it is required.
Requirements: JOB SPECIFICATIONS/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: - 3+
years of previous experience in general management preferred. -
Bachelor's degree with a focus on arts administration or comparable
professional experience. - General knowledge of all areas of arts
administration, production, and operations. - Experience with
Microsoft Office is required, experience with Paylocity is
preferred. - Excellent interpersonal and relationship building
skills. - Ability to work across teams and build strong internal
and external networks, with a variety of different people. - Calm
under pressure. - Demonstrated ability to prioritize, track and
manage multiple high priority tasks at a given time. - Outstanding
judgement and an ability to make decisions in a timely fashion in
consultation with multiple stakeholders. - Strong communication,
presentation and analytical skills. - Desire to challenge
traditional processes in order to find efficiencies and improve
performance. - Strong drive to establish systems and prioritize
