Job Description:

Our company is seeking a strong Manager to run a local lumber yard.The manager is responsible for the development, growth, profitability, and smooth operation of the business. Tasks and Responsibilities Assume overall responsibility for sales growth and profitable operations. Participate in the development and updating of a marketing plan for the location. Recruit, hire, train, supervise and manage all staff at this location. Ensure the successful completion of deliveries daily. Ensure overall customer satisfaction. Meet or exceed sales projections. Manage inventory, maintain stocking levels, ensure inventory security and supervise accurate counts. Maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment in good working order according to scheduled servicing and to meet state and insurance requirements. Conduct/participate in regular branch and/or regional meetings and training sessions. Perform other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Education and/or Experience - High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent education. Demonstration of managerial and leadership skills. Valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record. Language Skills - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, identification catalogs, and price lists. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide into all units of measure. Computer Skills - Knowledge of computer workstations and peripheral equipment; knowledge of database, spreadsheet, and word processing software. Experience with BisTrack/Epicor Software is a plus! Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written, illustrated or oral instructions. Communication Skills - Be able to effectively communicate orally and in writing. Demonstrated Skills Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner. Oral Communication - Speaks clearly and persuasively; participates in meetings. Written Communication - Writes clearly; able to read and interpret written information.
