Our company was formed in February 2022 by Valtruis (), a Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe (WCAS) company that is solely focused on investing in and building companies advancing value-based care, in partnership with New Century Health (), an industry leader in oncology care management. Role SummaryThe Director of Data & Analytics will report to OCP's Chief Financial Officer and have the opportunity to work closely with SMEs from Valtruis, New Century Health, and WCAS. This person will play an integral role in further developing OCP's risk model and identifying interventions that can lower cost, improve outcomes, and deliver better patient experience. Responsibilities

  • Work with consultants and software platforms to better understand benchmark episode cost and drivers of oncology spend
  • Refine OCP risk model and prioritize additional cost levers based on speed to implementation, magnitude of savings, and impact on patient experience
  • Assist in risk contracting with payers
  • Provide analytical support to business operations using claims, member, clinical, and external data sources
  • Interface with clinical and operations teams in bridging the OCP risk and clinical models
  • Develop and track KPIs around risk model and cost trends
  • Support the development of data and analytics infrastructure to provide insight on clinical and risk model performance LocationRemote, with minimal travel required for key internal and external meetings. We are also establishing a corporate office in Nashville, TN, but with no requirement for working from the office. Key Competencies
    • History of building and leading teams
    • Exceptional professional background in health economics, health insurance, or the healthcare provider space
    • Ability to tackle complex problems
    • Outstanding communication skills
    • Propensity for building infrastructure and designing processes rather than relying on those already in place
    • Openness to stepping in and helping other teams/ functional areas when needed Qualifications
      • 5+ years of healthcare analytics experience
      • Demonstrated healthcare data expertise (e.g., claims data, EHR data)
      • Experience in value-based care and with alternative payment models strongly preferred
      • An advanced degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, statistics, operations research, economics, etc.
      • Knowledge of reporting and analysis tools, SQL, and visual analytic applications
      • Excellent written and oral communication skills with a proven ability to lead discussions with physicians and C-suite provider executives
      • US work authorization
