EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
-Comprehensive knowledge of market position, banquet and food &
beverage revenues, pricing and rate structures, sales strategies,
yield management, booking trends, and future hotel planning.
-Participate in active sales solicitation, uphold policies and
selling techniques with emphasis on maximizing occupancy and ADR,
network through participation in community and professional
associations, activities and events.
-Work closely with clients to understand all requirements of event
functions and guest room needs.
-Detail events to include all food & beverage, set up and audio
visual needs. Ask appropriate questions of the clients and make
suggestions to ensure the details meet the group and the hotel's
-Create group resumes and communicate client needs to all
departments of the hotel. Ensure hotel staff follows through on all
-Be fully knowledgeable of competitive markets outside the
-Be fully knowledgeable of the capabilities and limitations of the
hotel and departments that may impact sales strategies
-Follow Sales policies and procedures as developed in the annual
-Make outside sales calls to solicit new business
-Conduct site tours of hotel for potential clients

-Maintain detailed records of discussions with clients, including
all event requirements, agreed terms/conditions and payment details
so there is no issues in the contracting phase
-Attend trade shows, industry and local events that create
opportunities for networking directed by the Director of Sales
-Occasional travel required.
-Achieve and exceed individual and team annual goals as established
by the annual Marketing plan..
-Achieve budgeted revenues and expenses and maximize profitability
related to the sales department.
-Maintain correct procedures for credit control, financial
transactions, and security of financial assets.
-Respond and resolve guest requests, complaints, or questions in a
courteous and timely manner.
-Ability to accurately use various office and sales software.
