Come grow with us!Job Description:The RoleThe Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer (CDO) will be responsible for leading the development and execution of Crowe's strategy around Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I). The CDO will work closely with the firm's CEO, COO and CPO and be well connected throughout the entire firm to ensure it has an inclusive culture and diverse workforce that represents its clients and the communities in which its people live and work and enables the firm to grow to a multi-billion-dollar firm.Responsibilities include:

  • Inclusive Leadership and Direction - Champions the firm's efforts to build and maintain a diverse and inclusive workplace. Cultivates a common vision for diversity and inclusion by developing approaches which holistically drive change in the firm. Collaborates across the firm on initiatives that will enable high performing and inclusive team members to bring their authentic selves to the firm and advance within the firm. As part of this demonstrates strong communication skills by galvanizing leadership creating excitement and energy.
  • Strategy Formation & Implementation - Develops the DE&I strategy to achieve long-term business needs for the firm to accomplish core strategic objectives and ensures implementation and execution of the strategy.
  • Building Diverse Capability - Builds a committed DE&I leadership team and engages with leaders at all levels to align diversity needs and efforts with the firm's vision, strategy and business needs. Develops and implements strategic diversity and inclusion program(s). Provides leadership, coaching and direction to the firm's Business Resource Groups around strategic diversity priorities.
  • DE&I Market Sensing - Continuously assesses the market and the industry and continuously assesses the market and industry for DEI trends and drives change within Crowe that proactively addresses the trends
  • Performance Management and Progression - Develops long-term strategic objectives and aligns the firm's (global) performance management framework with the working culture; serves as a role model within the performance management cycle; ensures performance management processes align with enterprise-wide DE&I strategy and initiatives.
  • DE&I Policy Development & Implementation - Takes responsibility for identifying and developing strategic organizational diversity and inclusion policies across the business including the firm's diversity supplier program.
  • Recruitment - Contributes to the firm's recruiting strategy by aligning it with the firm's DE&I strategy through the development and implementation of strategic talent acquisition approaches to source exceptional candidates/talent of diverse backgrounds to improve the balance of gender and minorities at all levels of the enterprise across both entry level and experienced hiring.
  • Staffing and Opportunity - Work with business leaders to prioritize equitable assignment of staffing opportunities
  • Firm Representation - Represents the firm in a variety of industry and professional forums to promote the value of the firm's brand, especially around diversity and inclusion. Cultivates relationships in the external market through our association with various professional diversity organizations (i.e., NABA, ALPFA, ASCEND, Out and Equal). Generates business opportunities in the market that lead to potential revenue opportunities for the firm by leading in DE&I. Furthers diversity partnerships in the community and actively participates in external opportunities to raise visibility and brand of Crowe as an inclusive employer.
  • DE&I Transparency Report - Responsible for development of the firm's DE&I Transparency Report as well as development of the firm's actions to achieve its commitments by 2025 as noted within the report.
  • Monitor performance on firm objectives - Contributions to and development of enterprise-wide KPIs for senior leadership related to DE&I initiatives and commitments per the DE&I Transparency Report. Holds leadership accountable to diversity and inclusion goals by developing metrics/scorecards to assess success.
  • Foster an inclusive work environment - Serves as a catalyst for change in driving an inclusive work environment. Collaborates with Talent Solutions so that 1) our workforce is being educated and skilled in the areas of diversity, equity and inclusion 2) individuals at all levels across the firm feel a sense of belonging and 3) our HR programs and processes are free of bias.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
    • 15 + years of extensive leadership experience, interpreting and architecting strategies and policies across the organization that deliver DE&I objectives within medium to long time frames that support business growth for large scale ($1B+ revenue) organization.
    • Recognizes the value that different perspectives and cultures bring to an organization, identifies how cultural differences can lead to new opportunities and value to an organization, and creates an inclusive environment in which all employees feel accepted and motivated.
    • Delivers multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences and creates a culture of ongoing constructive dialogue that allows people of all levels to discuss major initiatives while building trust and commitment.
    • Maintains a strategic mindset while anticipating future possibilities and preparing the organization to address change, tackle challenges, and shape new possibilities.
    • Builds partnerships, works collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives, and integrates a wide range of perspectives.
    • Takes a broad view when approaching issues and promotes global thinking on strategic opportunities.
    • Gains the confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity and authenticity and takes steps to ensure transparency.
    • Strong capability of influencing and managing through ambiguity and competing priorities.
    • Inspires trust with firm leadership by being fully aligned with the firm's core values.
    • Consistently achieves results by eliminating barriers to organizational performance and providing reinforcement and support for help overcome obstacles.
