Job Description:
OVERVIEW: The Director of Food & Beverage is responsible for
overseeing the operation and staff of all food and beverage
departments and maintaining the highest level of standards and
efficiency. In this position, you will oversee the Outlet Managers
to ensure that each dining outlet is consistently functioning at
maximum efficiency. You will utilize your previous restaurant
management experience as you oversee the hiring, training, and
supervision of all team members as well as the creation of
schedules and payroll/labor monitoring. Using your vibrant
personality and strong interpersonal skills, you will interact with
guests regularly to ensure all needs are met. You will also use
your conflict resolution and negotiation skills to defuse
situations and settle disputes. Versatility and the ability to
multi-task effectively will be helpful as you oversee the outlets
and work to maximize revenue and profit while still ensuring
optimal guest service and satisfaction. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Respond
to needs and requests of guests and potential guests.Ensure that
implementation and maintenance of standards of food, beverage and
service quality are in line with hotel standards.Implement
affective cost controls for food, beverage and labor.Develop
workable systems for inventory, receiving and product cost.Create a
comfortable atmosphere to encourage committed and loyal employees.
Oversee hiring and training programs for food and beverage
employees.Oversee development, coaching and counseling of
employees.Oversee weekly payroll for department.Responsible for
maintaining a consistently smooth-running operation.Monitor and
critique food quality and service levels.Daily tracking of payroll
and revenue.Ensure physical atmosphere and cleanliness of
restaurant, including inspecting tabletops, and
side-stations.Monitoring of all current inventories and assist in
end of the month inventories.Assisting with ordering of new
product.Attending Banquet Event Order review meetings, food and
beverage and pre-con meetings as required.Handling of guest
complaints in a professional and efficient manner.Providing a
pleasant and efficient atmosphere for staff and guests.Develop and
maintain positive working relationships; support team to reach
common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of
employees. Comply with quality assurance standards. Follow company
and department policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries,
and unsafe work conditions to manager; ensure uniform and personal
appearance are clean and professional; wear nametag; maintain
confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
Follow property specific procedures for handling emergency
situations (e.g., evacuations, medical emergencies, natural
disasters).Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.Have
access to reliable transportation and follow attendance policy.
ADDITIONAL POSITION DUTIES:Respond to any reasonable task assigned
by Director of Food and Beverage.Assist in other areas of the
operation as needed.Develop and maintain ongoing education
