The DevOps Manager is hands-on with a broad and deep understanding -of applications and systems integration, backend infrastructure, network architecture, build & release -engineering and security.The role leads and manages the team responsible for deploying software, maintaining, -troubleshooting and resolving systems issues and improving system performance. The role is also -responsible for representing DevOps with internal cross-functional leaders and external partners, -ensuring DevOps contributes to business success, meeting the needs of group stakeholders and -building capability within the group

Responsibilities

Research and continually improve the organization's system capabilities to increase -application availability and performanceEnsure the accuracy and completeness of all DevOps work for the organizationManage team members with focus on leadership and operational excellence. Responsible for team career development, training, mentoring, performance reviews, hiring, etc.Prioritize, clearly define and communicate work responsibilities across the team Evaluate technological choices (network/hardware related and technology/software related) -by querying providers and providing evaluations of each solution including ROI evaluations in -the present and future implications, limitations and opportunitiesWorks within IT, cross-functionally and with vendors, in order to successfully identify, prioritize, and resolve issues and provide subject matter expertise for enhancements, development and operational improvements to the Card@Once solutionIdentifies trending gaps or issues in day-to-day performance of all systems and components through active monitoring, alert management, reporting and process reviews - Identifies technical and process improvement opportunities and socialize/advocate to get them implementedDevelops and maintains accurate estimates, timelines, project plans and status reportsMaintains issue tracking and system documentation and provides reporting that ensures proper tracking and visibility of issues and projectsResponsible for the development of standards and processes for operations that proactively prevent problems from occurringWorks closely with Development Manager in release planning, preparation, validation, post release and ongoing monitoring

Qualifications

B.S. or MS Degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experienceAt least 8 years demonstrated success in related IT profession, including 5-7 years of hands onexperience with Infrastructure, Network and IT Operations disciplinesExperience developing and/or mentoring others and building technical capabilities of less -experienced colleagues.PCI Security experience a plusStrong problem solving and root-cause mindset, having the ability to drive into issues when appropriate and deliver a high level of end-user support - Ability to drive big picture goals and milestones while valuing and maintaining a strong attention to detailAbility to quickly identify and drive to the optimal solution when presented with a series of constraints - Ability to break down team barriers throughout the organization through effective communication - Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, relationship building skills and ability to achieve results without direct reporting relationshipsStrong sense of personal responsibility and accountability for delivering high quality work, both personally and at a team levelExcellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical staffCompany Overview:CPI Card Group is a payment technology company and leading provider of credit, debit and prepaid solutions delivered physically, digitally and on-demand.
