We compete on results.The Position:The Compliance Manager is responsible for maintaining SpecialtyCare's compliance programs and policies across the organization ensuring that they are being followed, and that behavior in the organization meets the company's Standards of Conduct.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, and update policies and procedures for the general operation of the Compliance Program and its related activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct.
  • Provide guidance to management and associates regarding the Code of Conduct.
  • Guide internal departments with compliance challenges to the appropriate channels for investigation and resolution.
  • Respond to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and Code of Conduct by evaluating or recommending the initiation of investigative procedures.
  • Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develops/implements corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and provides general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future.
  • Act as an independent review and evaluation body to ensure that compliance Issues/concerns within the organization are being appropriately evaluated, investigated and resolved.
  • Maintain the process and system for violations and resolutions to ensure each allegation is addressed appropriately.
  • Coordinate compliance activities of other departments to remain abreast of the status of all compliance activities and to identify trends.
  • Provide reports for senior leadership, compliance committee and the Board of Directors on the progress of compliance efforts as needed.
  • Assist in proper reporting of violations or potential violations to duly authorized enforcement agencies as appropriate and/or required.
  • Manage and respond to the compliance Hotline.
  • Maintain an effective compliance communication program for the organization, including promoting (a) use of the Compliance Hotline; (b) heightened awareness of Standards of Conduct, and (c) understanding of new and existing compliance issues and related policies and procedures.
  • Assure that company policies and procedures meet the standards for The Joint Commission Accreditation and all regulatory agencies.

  • Other duties as assigned.
    • Bachelor's degree in Compliance, Legal or a related field or equivalent experience.
    • CRCM Certification and Corporate Compliance and Ethic Professional Certification Beneficial
    • Experience in a healthcare environment, preferred
    • Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of compliance laws, federal fraud and abuse laws required.
    • Embodies a high level of ethical and professional values that complement the team.
    • Works well in a fast-paced environment and with a sense of urgency.
    • Strong communication skills both verbally and written.
    • Self-directed with ability to make good judgement calls.
    • Ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and with people at all levels of the organization to achieve business goals
    • Ability to both work collaboratively and independently; ability to navigate a complex organization
