POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Manager, Privacy Programs, assists the Chief Privacy Officer in the operation and management of the Company Compliance program. They will support the daily operations of LifePoint Health's Privacy Program, including but not limited to development, implementation, and maintenance of policies, procedures and protocols, monitoring program compliance, investigation and tracking of incidents and breaches, and insuring patient, employee and customer privacy rights in compliance with federal and state laws.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The Senior Manager is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of a comprehensive privacy program.
The Senior Manager will investigate privacy incidents with an understanding of federal and state privacy laws and enforcement policies and company policies and standards. They will collaborate with legal counsel as appropriate.
The Senior Manager will manage, support and assure the quality, thoroughness and timely completion of privacy investigations led by market- and facility-level Privacy Officers and members of the Business Integrity Partner team, and the Compliance Monitoring and Regulatory Support team.
In cases where privacy breaches or systemic failures are identified through an investigation, the Senior Manager will determine, consistent with company standards, the reporting and disclosure obligations and participate in the development of corrective action recommendations.
The Senior Manager will be responsible for ensuring consistent reporting and disclosure protocols and corrective action recommendations across the enterprise consistent with company standards.
The Senior Manager will use systems to ensure all privacy investigations, breach determinations and investigations and recommendations for corrective action are appropriately documented. The Senior Manager will produce and analyze reports of investigations and breach determinations to identify and highlight trends or systematic concerns.
Upon request, the Senior Manager will participate in or otherwise support internal investigations conducted by other functional areas, including Compliance Investigations, Human Resources, Legal, Risk and Information Security.
The Senior Manager shall maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding all work matters, and fully comply with all legal and ethical obligations, the Company Code of Conduct, and the Code of Ethics for Healthcare Professionals adopted by the Health Care Compliance Association.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise the work of others, including planning, assigning and scheduling work, reviewing work and ensuring quality standards, training staff and overseeing productivity. May offer recommendations for hiring, termination and pay adjustments, but do not have final responsibility for making these decisions.

Education: Bachelor's Degree
Experience: Minimum 5+ years related experience in privacy, healthcare compliance, regulatory and/or operational expertise required.
Skills and Abilities:

Moderate overnight travel (up to 25%) by land and/or air. Remote arrangements may require increased travel.
