  • Paid job training & other great incentives.What You Get To Do:The Managing Director, Enterprise Technology is responsible for network, telecommunications, and data center operations for CoreCivic. This includes planning for future needs, assessing new technologies and developing the overall strategic plan for operations areas, ensuring availability and integrity of current systems, and managing vendor relationships. Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to, ID Management/DNS/Login, Windows, Unix and other server operations, WAN/LAN/MAN operations, information security, e-Discovery support, application delivery and VoIP.
    • Leads a team of engineers to maintain system uptime goals. Develops strategic plans for the Technology Department. Ensures initiatives align with technology and company wide goals and objectives.
    • Develops and ensures compliance with general controls in the areas of responsibility (including SOX, SOC II Type II, and NIST compliance).
    • Establishes IT policies and standard operating procedures to ensure systems are in compliance while mitigating security risks.
    • Communicates technology plans and issues to executive management and customer departments in a clear, straightforward and professional manner while working to integrate technology into their business processes.
    • Designs and implements monitoring and 24x7 support mechanisms for areas of responsibility. Accountable for system availability, incident resolution, and managing the disaster recovery/business continuity plan.
    • Tracks and controls the developments of annual operating and capital budgets in conjunction with the Chief Information Officer.
    • Leads relationship management at a senior level with key vendors and service providers, ensuring that offerings meet the company's objectives, system availability, and evolve as necessary for changing business and marketplace demands.
    • Follows the CoreCivic program management methodology and works collaboratively on project teams.
    • Responsible for ensuring that the division manages problem and request tickets for assigned technology.
    • Operationally responsible for CoreCivic's Cyber Security program execution and compliance.
    • Supervises staff in the performance of their duties and evaluates as prescribed by company policy. This includes but is not limited to: training new employees, evaluating performance and preparing written performance appraisals, listening to concerns and effectively resolving disputes or problems, taking corrective or disciplinary action, developing work schedules for staff and approving leave requests.
    • Maintains relationships with customer departments and ensures all support is provided in the context of assisting application users succeed in their business goals.
    • Domestic U.S. travel may be required.Qualifications:
      • Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is required. Ten years of related experience is required.
      • A Master's degree is preferred. Experience managing certified engineers (such as a Novell Certification Engineer, Microsoft Certified Engineer, or Cisco Certified Network Professional) is required.
      • Must possess project management experience with projects larger than $1M.
      • Requires knowledge of SANs, Microsoft Server, Unix, Linux, and LDAP and cross platform LDAP integration, WAN Acceleration and routing technologies.
      • Must have significant experience in the following areas: Sun Enterprise Servers, Hitachi Data Systems Lightning storage arrays, Multi-fabric Brocade SANs, Veritas high availability solutions, Information security technology, Windows Active Directory, Microsoft Cluster Services, MS SQL Server, Exchange Server, and SMS, Cisco Enterprise routing, switching, and IP telephony.
      • Must have experience with cloud computing such as MS Azure, and AWS.
      • Ability to communicate effectively (oral, written and via email) and lead team members to successful outcomes. Strong analytical, problem solving, decision-making and negotiating skills are required.
      • Must have the ability to relate business requirements and risks to technology implementations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
      • Minimum Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
