Provide leadership and management to all aspects of Manufacturing which includes all processes from receipt of unprocessed blood through shipment and delivery of finished goods. Responsible for management and control of daily manufacturing and logistics operations, including staff, assigned volunteers, budgets, environment and work processes. Ensure coordination among various departments for the processing and distribution of blood products. Manage customer demands with production inventory and delivery of products to meet customer demand. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers. Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State and local regulations. Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the direction of Manufacturing staff including, but not limited to, hiring, training, coaching, evaluating and disciplining to ensure a well-qualified team and to enhance operational success and compliance. Ensure that employees in assigned units are competent, trained, and adhere to all company, local, state and federal requirements.
  • Responsible for effective Manufacturing. Ensure all functions are performed in accordance with all applicable regulations, policies and/or procedures and in a timely fashion concurrent to customer needs. Responsible for Regulatory Compliance programs for Manufacturing. Ensure creation of a cGMP culture within assigned units.
  • Responsible for employee, fiscal, asset, and operational management to include the preparation of budgets. Provide staffing, planning, organization, and leadership to, and management of, all Manufacturing services. Evaluate manufacturing processes to ensure efficient and streamlined processes and to meet customer requirements in accost-efficient manner.
  • Ensure that products produced is consistent with product demand. Lead implementation of new product lines. Responsible for accurate systems and strategies, effective collaboration with various, different business groups.
  • Ensure data to identify opportunities for process improvements and elimination of waste.-- Qualifications:
    • Education: Bachelor's degree required. Master's Degree preferred.
    • Experience: Minimum 7 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required. Relevant experience includes work in technical blood banking, laboratory or a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.
    • Management Experience: 5 years of management experience.
    • Skills and Abilities: Excellent communications and interpersonal skills required. Ability to work on a team.
