Job Description:
An Aircraft Maintenance company in Nashville, TN is looking for
Sheetmetal Mechanics. Will be doing heavy checks on Regional
Aircraft Candidates must have 3+ years of structures experience
from an MRO or military (depot level) Must be able to work any
shift - Sun - Wed or Wed - Sat 6AM - 4:30PM or 4PM - 2:30 AMPay is
$32 - 35/hr based on experience Description:Performs structural
repairs and fabrication of partsAbility to perform repairs per
aircraft SRM and/or engineering dispositionsFollows approved
repair/modification procedures for component or aircraft,
consulting internal procedures that have been FAA approved,
original equipment manufacturers (OEM's) technical data, and work
package instructionsPositions and aligns subassemblies in jigs or
fixtures, using measuring instruments, following blueprint lines
and index pointsInspects completed work to identify any needed
rework before signing off; ensures that repaired components meet
prescribed standards and tolerancesPerforms serviceability tests on
repairs using test equipment specified in technical
manualsCompletes work package documentation by signing/stamping off
after finishing all designated operationsSubmits completed work to
Quality Assurance for final/in progress inspection and
recertification of airworthinessBolts, screws, or rivets
accessories to fasten, support, or hang components and
subassembliesCuts, trims, and files parts, and verifies fitting
tolerances to prepare for installationDrills holes in structure and
subassemblies, and attaches brackets, hinges, or clips to secure
installation or to fasten subassembliesInspects and tests installed
units, parts, and equipment for fit, performance, and compliance
with standards, using measuring instruments and test equipmentAble
to identify bolts, screws, rivets and various fasteners used to
support or assemble componentsInstalls units, parts, equipment, and
components in structural assembly, according to blueprints and
specifications, using hand tools and power toolsLocates and marks
reference points and holes for installation of parts and
components, using jigs, templates, and measuring instrumentsProvide
information and documentation for engineering requestsComply with
repair station procedures (RSM /QCM) and company policies (SOP)
