Job TitleGOC Engineering ManagerJob Description SummaryUnder the direction of the Global Operations Center (GOC) Lead, the GOC Engineering Manager is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of the global operations strategy.Job DescriptionUnder the direction of the Global Operations Center (GOC) Lead, the GOC Engineering Manager is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of the global operations strategy. This role provides oversight and ensures compliance of global support services that have been centralized to the GOC.

  • Supports the management of the GOC sites with a global focus to ensure alignment to all regions.
  • Provide critical operations leadership to execute GOC mission and mandate.
  • Ensures GOC staff understand their roles and responsibilities as it relates to MCF (Mission Critical Facillities) Global Program directives and policies.
  • Provides technical oversight and serves as project lead for the design and implementation of various initiatives.
  • Identify, reports and resolves any GOC operations issues.
  • Create and maintain cross-departmental relationships to enable leadership sucess.
  • Continuously identify ways to improve the teams operational work flow and drive process improvements.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a cross functional team to effectively coordinate complex interdependencies of a variety of initiatives.Knowledge and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or electrical Engineering preferred or two year technical degree plus 5 to 8 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training
    • Minimum of 5 years of management level experience in facilities/property maintenance, engineering, the installation and operation of Building Systems (HVAC, plumbing, Fire/Life Safety, etc.), project management, and supervision of skilled trades and technical staff
    • A high level of functional/technical knowledge of building system operation is necessary and must have proficiency in plumbing, HVAC, and electrical distribution systems
    • Must be able to prepare and present detailed reports on building operations and systems. Must be able to write professional business correspondence. Must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
    • Ability to quickly define problems, gather and assess relevant data and information, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions in order to implement solutions and repairs and delegate to appropriate personnel. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with both abstract and concrete variables
    • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead employees, experience with HR processes as they relate to direct reports (e.g., performance management, development, coaching, feedback, etc.), and ability to effectively delegate
    • Strong literacy in MS Word and Excel, PowerPoint a plus
    • Highly organized and skilled with time management
