OverviewPlans, directs and coordinates manufacturing processes
in an industrial facility. Develops, evaluates and improves
manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design,
materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production
equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control
standards. Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space
requirements and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and
workspace for maximum efficiency. Essential Duties and
- Collaborate with configuration and design engineering regarding
product tooling and design to insure design for
- Analyze process flows to improve throughput, safety, quality,
cost and waste reduction.
- Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes.
- Implement and maintain strong safety focus throughout
- Provide engineering support to production for trouble shooting
and resolution of technical problems.
- Confer with outside vendors to determine product specification
and arrange for purchases of equipment, materials or parts and
evaluate products according to specifications and quality
- Estimate staffing requirements, production times and relative
costs in support of operational decisions and production
- Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing
requirements and potential.
- Other duties as assigned, such as Travel to other facilities to
help diagnose, repair, or assist in developing future strategies
and or managing projects. Education and/or experienceBS in
Mechanical with tool and die design/ or Electrical Engineering5+
years' experience as ME in a metal manufacturing environment
Reasoning AbilityWell developed analytical skills to include
deductive and inductive reasoning, problem solving with multiple
variables, creative and/or innovative analysis. Intuitive thinker.

noise and climate controlled. The noise level in the manufacturing
environment is usually loud. The facility is not
climate-controlled; summer heat and winter cold are conditions that
should be expected.
