Position Summary The Department of Social Work at Austin Peay State University invites applications for the position of Department Chairperson (Chair). The Department Chair provides administrative leadership to a department that offers a CSWE -accredited BSW and participates in a unique CSWE -accredited three school collaborative MSW . The department has been a leader in growing programs at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The faculty and student body of the social work department at Austin Peay is racially/ethnically diverse and dynamic. Seven full time faculty serve approximately 300 undergraduate social work majors in the BSW program and 50 graduate students in the advanced generalist MSW program. We offer one undergraduate certification, Child Welfare Certification, in partnership with the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services. The faculty and students are involved in the community through many committees and student organizations, and have been involved in many projects that support the APSU campus and the surrounding community.
