Job Description Job Description Position Summary We are seeking
an experienced Professional Land Surveyor to lead and oversee
surveying operations across a diverse portfolio of projects. This
role is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the
work of surveyors and technicians engaged in determining precise
locations and measurements of points, elevations, lines, areas, and
contours for construction, mapping, utility location, subsurface
utility engineering (SUE), land division, title surveys, and
related purposes. The successful candidate will foster a culture of
safety, quality, and collaboration; provide technical and
managerial leadership; ensure project excellence; and represent the
company in meetings with existing and prospective clients. This
position plays a key role in both project delivery and business
development within the market. Immigration sponsorship or support
(including H-1B, F-1 CPT/OPT/STEM OPT) is not available for this
position, except for qualified candidates eligible for the TN visa
classification. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Plan,
manage, and oversee the operations of multiple survey field crews
Assemble and analyze field data; perform survey calculations; and
prepare legal descriptions Ensure quality control and quality
assurance across all survey deliverables Prepare, monitor, and
manage project budgets, schedules, and billing Serve as the primary
point of contact for client management on assigned projects Support
and lead business development efforts for the surveying discipline
within the market Lead, mentor, and manage team members through
continuous performance management, including goal setting,
feedback, coaching, and regular one-on-one meetings Promote and
enforce safe work practices for all survey staff Represent the
company professionally in client meetings, conferences, and
industry events Required Experience and Qualifications Tennessee
Professional Registered Land Surveyor (RPLS) Minimum of 10 years of
progressive experience in surveying High school diploma or
equivalent (associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred) Strong
working knowledge of Federal, State, and local surveying
regulations General understanding of survey plan preparation using
InRoads/MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D Ability to manage
multiple projects in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred
Qualifications Experience with subsurface utility designating and
locating (SUE) Familiarity with aerial mapping, LiDAR scanning, and
sUAS (drone) technologies Working Conditions Primarily office-based
(approximately 95%), with sedentary work that may require
occasional standing or walking Office environment includes adequate
lighting, temperature control, and minimal exposure to noise or
hazards Occasional fieldwork required, with exposure to varying
outdoor conditions including heat, cold, humidity, and wet or dry
environments Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed
