Cumberland Creative is looking for a talented and highly experienced Director of Social Media with the ability to join our team and drive quality results & revenue. -
Cumberland Creative is a content driven social media marketing agency that aims to seamlessly combine high-quality video production with highly effective and engaging social media marketing strategies. We help our clients, big and small, showcase their companies and products to the world in a fresh, engaging way. -

DESCRIPTION + REQUIREMENTS We seek a talented person with an agency background. This individual must possess a proven track record leading social media strategy and client posting as well as team leadership experience. The ideal candidate will immediately be able to join the team and drive the department forward with complete autonomy. Their background, experience and vision will afford them the ability to push this crucial piece of our business forward. The strategies, structure and ongoing evolution will afford our clients the highest level of success with transparent measurement & performance reporting. -The right person for this role will be experienced and self-motivated to own our social media department, end-to-end. That includes how the department operates, the members of the team (including hiring and scaling the team), talent development, departmental budget and project hours, client interaction, performance reporting and pitching new business as needed. -This individual needs to have vast experience and expertise in social media marketing including:

  • Strategy: Research the market and key competitors, audit current & past social media efforts and leverage this information to develop and present social media strategies and create engaging content. -
  • Trend Monitoring: Stay abreast of the continual evolution within the social media industry including new platforms, changes to existing platforms & algorithms, news jacking & trending topics, thought leadership and the internal communication of legal industry concerns.
  • Posting and Implementation: Effectively implement the designed strategy at a high level, including posting, captioning, tagging, etc. of both organic and paid social advertising for clients.
  • Influencer Marketing: Find, communicate and engage with relevant brand influencers to drive growth in awareness, engagement and client-brand relevance. Manage influencer relationships ongoing to , ensure contractual elements are delivered and optimize the partnership. -
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Accurately track progress & results and clearly report this information back to clients. Formulate insightful next steps based on this reporting and deliver a clear strategy and roadmap to clients in a meaningful, influential and understandable manner to maximize their individual goals and objectives.
  • Talent Development: Structure & build a best-in-class Social Media team and nurture internal talent to develop and promote. -

    This position will answer directly to the Director of Operations.
    --- Ability to conduct a full social media audit of client accounts--- Experience in KPI reporting and ongoing account progress tracking ---- 5-7 years of prior social media experience in an agency environment --- History of - leading Social teams and track-record of delivering against account goals ---- - Comfort working under pressure against tight timelines--- Team-oriented, self-motivated, structured and organized --- - Possess a passionate, positive, and hard-working attitude --- - A can-do approach to solutions with a client focus Travel --- - This position may be expected to travel on occasion COMPENSATION + BENEFITSSalary
    • This is a salaried position with additional commissions -
    • $65,000 - $80,000 annually (dependent on experience) with 10% commission on all closed sales -
    • NOTE: The first $20K in sales will pay out 15% in commission
    • Additional company-wide profit sharing program on total Social business. You win with your department. As the social business grows, so do you!
