Position Overview

The Associate Director is ultimately responsible for client strategy development and evolution. This person will serve as the team leader and direct point of contact with the client to help champion their process. This role will be responsible for developing creative platforms and innovative communication strategies for the client, while leading the activation teams in plan development and execution to make sure all tactics role up to the overarching strategy. Successful candidates will possess an ability to provide thought leadership and management across different team functions, while building upon each team's strengths and moderate differences to add value and depth to a client's entire marketing plan.

Responsibilities

• Oversees development of media strategies consistent with brand marketing objectives and strategy
• Provide thought leadership and help develop strategic direction for media planning and buying across TV, Radio, Print, Paid Social and Digital
• Recommends targeted, innovative media vehicles consistent with media strategies
• Serves as advisor and mentor to planning groups
• Own the relationships with agency partners, where applicable
• Build excellent relationships with media partners
  Qualifications
  
  • 8+ years' experience in media planning including three to five years management experience required
  • Strong presentation skills in internal, vendor, and client meetings
  • Experience mentoring and managing a team
  • Solid awareness of industry trends and planning/measurement models
  • Understanding of marketing and communications process
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably with a concentration in advertising, marketing, business administration or communications
