The Director Finance reports to the Senior Director Finance and assist with leading the PI Finance Team in executing the finance strategies of the PI organization. The Director Finance supports the PI organization while reviewing/analyzing quantification proposals from the PI teams and performing analysis of clinical and non-clinical data. This individual must apply the financial standards of the PI organization while reviewing and assisting in the preparation of quantification proposals and analysis from the PI teams. This individual should possess excellent communication skills and a demonstrated track record of delivering results and attaining goals.


  • Assist with leading the finance strategic plan of the PI organization.
  • Assists in supporting the PI Organization to develop process improvement and labor management standards and controls followed by execution and sustainability of standards.

    --

    Develops standard documents, processes and calculations to be used by all PI teams and subject matter experts to quantify cost savings and process improvement solutions.

    • Ensures the Finance team adheres to the guidelines issued by the PI Organization.
    • Ensures compliance with PI departmental policies and procedures dealing with financial and business matters
    • Analyzes service line and organizational structure to identify opportunities and makes recommendations to facility leadership in alignment with the facility's strategic plan.
    • Provides support to the PI Organization to drive new and improved processing through the use of technology to evaluate financial data.
    • Assists with leading the development of measurement tools to track and trend operational efficiency and financial performance.
    • Assists in leading the development of standard financial documents, processes and calculations for PI teams.
    • Assists the Finance team in the development of financial analytics that allow PI Leadership to drive business decisions.
    • Supports the development of quantification for process changes and financial savings.
    • Supports performance improvement and labor management finance work based upon the needs of the department.
    • Supports the learning and development needs for the PI organization as it relates to finance.
    • Reviews idea forms for SWAT and "Deep Dive" engagements while typically providing direct support for one SWAT team and indirectly for more engagements as needed.
    • Participates in multiple projects and tasks in a fast paced environment.
    • Develops a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.
    • Communicates timely and effectively in a matrix environment.
    • Escalates issues to Sr. Director Finance as necessary.
    • Builds and maintains strong, effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders across HCA.
    • Practices and adheres to the "Code of Conduct" philosophy and "Mission and Value Statement".

      Qualifications

      EDUCATION:

      Bachelor's degree required.

      QUALIFICATIONS:

      --

      7 years professional work experience required.

      --

      4-6 years healthcare finance experience as a Controller preferred.

      --

      Previous management responsibilities required.

      --

      Experience with HCA financial systems preferred.

      --

      Experience in leading large-scale projects required.

      --

      Must be proficient in written, verbal, and presentation skills.

      --

      Must be detail driven with strategic focus.

      --

      Experience with cost management systems preferred.

      --

      Intermediate or Advanced skills using Excel and PowerPoint.

      --

      Up to 80% travel required.
