Overview: A prominent accounting firm in Nashville is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Senior to join their team. This firm specializes in providing business management and tax consulting services to clients in the entertainment industry and the broader business community. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax compliance and consulting, with the ability to manage multiple client engagements effectively. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and various state tax returns.? Conduct comprehensive tax research and planning to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.? Assist in the preparation of tax projections and provide strategic tax advice to clients.? Manage and coordinate tax audits, including preparing necessary documentation and representing clients before tax authorities.? Collaborate with the business management department to address client inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses.? Supervise and mentor junior tax staff, reviewing their work and providing constructive feedback.? Stay updated on current tax practices and changes in tax law to provide informed guidance to clients.? Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs and providing tailored tax solutions.? Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred.? Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in tax preparation and consulting, preferably within a public accounting firm.? Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.? Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.? Excellent organizational and time management abilities, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.? Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to clients.? Experience working with clients in the entertainment industry is a plus.? Preferred Skills: Familiarity with tax issues specific to the entertainment sector, including royalty income and tour budgeting.? Experience with business management services, such as financial planning and cash flow analysis.? Knowledge of payroll processing and related tax filings.?
