Analyst, Strategic Finance Job Summary: The Strategic Finance
Analyst will play a pivotal role in understanding performance and
driving profitability within the organization. This role will work
closely and collaboratively with various departments, providing
insights that support strategic business decisions and optimize
financial performance. This is a critical role in ArchWell Health’s
maturation and is a fast-paced position that will enable
high-quality personal development and growth. Duties /
Responsibilities: Business Performance Monitoring: Monitor and
analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics
to assess business performance and identify areas of improvement.
Collaborate with operational teams to develop actionable insights
and recommendations for performance enhancement and risk
mitigation. Perform ad hoc analysis to identify drivers, solve
business problems, continuously advance data-driven strategies and
processes to improve financial results. Examine health plan
arrangement performance by geography and contract to evaluate
strategic opportunities Strategic Decision Support: Provide
decision support to senior management and business leaders by
synthesizing complex financial, operational, and clinical
information into actionable insights and recommendations. Evaluate
strategic contracts, initiatives, and partnerships through
developing underwriting cases, monitoring performance, and
evaluating program success Research healthcare delivery topics,
analyze data, present results, and recommend solutions to address
business challenges by applying critical-thinking skills and
healthcare experience/expertise Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Serve as a trusted advisor to business partners, offering financial
expertise, insights, and support to facilitate informed
decision-making and drive business results. Collaborate
cross-functionally with finance, accounting, operations, medical
economics, contracting, and other departments to provide
transparency into results, develop improvement strategies, and
enable financial and operational success Build strong and trusting
relationships with market leaders to support and ensure awareness
of issues and challenges, including payor contract performance.
Data Transparency and Storytelling Structure analytical results in
an organized, visual manner to tell a meaningful, actionable story
Assist in the development and production of dashboards and
reporting tools that increase enterprise transparency and foster
accountability Required Skills/Abilities: Advanced proficiency in
Microsoft Excel with SQL and PowerBI experience highly preferred
Financial and business acumen, problem-solving, and analytical
skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy Proactive
initiative in exploring and discovering opportunities to improve
company performance through data analysis Excellent communication
skills across verbal, written, and presentation applications with
ability to communicate complex financial concepts effectively to
non-financial stakeholders. Solid understanding of key performance
metrics, financial statements, and drivers of a value-based care
organization and/or health plan’s success. Proven track record of
working effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and
managing multiple priorities simultaneously. Strong interpersonal
skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and build
positive working relationships at all levels of the organization.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting,
Economics, Applied Math, Statistics, or related field required.
Minimum of 2-5 years relevant experience as an analyst with a
health plan, ACO, RBE, or consulting firm focused on healthcare
analytics, decision support, strategic finance, FP&A, or
medical economics Proficiency in MS Excel, including formulas,
PivotTables, graphing and other reporting and presentation features
Experience in data mining, working with miscellaneous healthcare
data sets with PowerBI and SQL experience strongly preferred
