Beacon Resources, in partnership with our client in the San Fernando Valley, seeks a Senior Accountant to join this real estate development management company. This company has a strong presence in the Western United States.Job (General Description) - You will book journal entries, reconcile accounts, and close the G/L monthly. You will also interact with our client's investors to answer all questions on their investments. The hired Senior Accountant reports to an Assistant Controller.This role is open because of internal growth.Job Site Status (Remote/Mixed/Onsite) - This role is presently 100% remote, but our client does require employees to attend monthly corporate meetings. Therefore, candidates who can commute to the San Fernando Valley will be prioritized. Our clients offer 100% paid health insurance (including dependents), and unlimited PTO days.SENIOR ACCOUNTANT DUTIESGeneral Ledger (G/L) Accounting

• Perform G/L Accounting functions, including month-end closes, journal entries, and bank reconciliations for several propertiesProperty Investor Accounting
  • Prepare monthly journal entries related to consolidated entities, and inter-company transactions
  • Work with investors in explaining their investments, their distributions, and their purchases/salesMiscellaneous
    • File for licenses/license renewals
    • Remit tax receipts to multiple government agencies
    • Accept other various financial and accounting tasks as neededSENIOR ACCOUNTANT QUALIFICATIONSRequired
      • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration or equivalent work experience
      • At least three (3) years of accounting experience in a Real Estate-oriented or Property Management company, OR at a public accounting firm with substantive responsibilities for its Real Estate clientsPreferred
        • A CPA
        • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) SENIOR ACCOUNTANT SKILLSRequiredTechnical
