JOB DESCRIPTION STAFF ACCOUNTANT: DETAILS Title: Staff Accountant Location: Nashville TN (Green Hills area) Start Date: ASAP Pay Rate: $48k-57k Full Benefits Education Reimbursement Type: Direct Hire Hours: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm CT / 7:00 am - 4:00 pm CT- Monday - Friday Openings: 1 Remote Opportunity: Yes - You will be working 2 days remote and 3 days in the office OVERVIEW: STAFF ACCOUNTANT The Staff Accountant will assist the accounting department in performing the tasks necessary to ensure the integrity of accounting information. Utilization of GAAP knowledge and associated accounting skills will be required to help ensure the achievement of timely and accurate monthly and quarterly financial statements. REQUIREMENTS: STAFF ACCOUNTANT Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 1-5 years of Staff Accounting work Must have month end close experience Experience in Financial statements, balance sheets, banking reconciliations, fixed assets, pre-claimed accounts 1-2 years of Accounting/General Ledger experience Strong GAAP knowledge Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel performing formulas / vlookups / pivot tables Knowledge of Stone River accounting software a plus Knowledge of Microsoft Access a plus Knowledge of ProLease software a plus RESPONSIBILITIES: STAFF ACCOUNTANT Handling month-end activities and creating journal entries Responsible for reconciling bank accounts on a monthly basis Performing various other GL account reconciliations and analyses Research and compilation of quarterly Competitor Analysis Research, report and remit unclaimed property to various states Compile various data using Microsoft Excel/Access as requested by management Assist with internal and external audits Ability to meet monthly/quarterly deadlines set by management Communicate with co-workers, management and others in a courteous and professional manner Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions Find Us on Facebook Beacon Hill is an Equal Opportunity Employer that values the strength diversity brings to the workplace.
