Job Description:
Job Title: RN Medical/Surgical Profession: Registered Nurse
Specialty: Medical/Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift
Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Valid RN
License Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification;
Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test; NIH Certification
Must-Have: 1 year of relevant experience; BLS Certification
Description: Unit Capacity: 23 beds. Population Served: Patients
with diagnoses including pneumonia, COPD, sleep apnea, medical
telemetry, and general medical conditions. Ages of Patients Served:
Young adults through late adults (18 - 60). Nurse to Patient
Ratios: 6:1. Core Staffing Plan: Variable staffing grid including
registered nurses (RNs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs), patient
care technicians (PCTs), and nurse interns (NIs). An RN assumes
full responsibility for the patients on each team.
